The challenge
Schools faced challenges in efficiently communicating important updates to students and parents. Traditional methods like printed notices and manual calls were time-consuming and prone to delays, often leading to missed or late information. To address these issues, we developed a streamlined solution that allows schools to send timely, categorized messages via SMS and email, ensuring that vital information reaches the right recipients quickly and reliably.
The goal
The goal was to develop a specialized software solution tailored for schools, enabling them to manage and send updates to students and parents with ease. The platform needed to offer an intuitive interface for composing and scheduling messages, adding and categorizing contacts, and accessing message history. Additionally, integrating the platform with WhatsApp for sending messages directly was crucial for expanding communication channels.
The result
The GSM Board software was successfully launched as a comprehensive communication tool for schools. Schools can now efficiently manage contact lists of students and parents, compose and schedule SMS and email messages, and track message histories—all within a user-friendly interface. The integration with WhatsApp has further enhanced the platform's communication capabilities, allowing schools to reach their audience through multiple channels. As a result, the platform has significantly improved the speed and reliability of school communications.
What was built
Features:
• Contact Management: Add and manage contact details of students and parents, including name, email, phone number, and class. Contacts can be categorized for targeted messaging.
• Message Composition: Create SMS and email messages with the ability to send instantly or categorize messages for specific groups. The platform supports the scheduling of messages by selecting a specific date and time.
• Message Scheduling: Schedule messages in advance, selecting the exact date and time for them to be sent. Messages can also be saved for later use and accessed in the “Saved Messages” section.
• Message History: View detailed information about sent messages, including content, recipients, and delivery status, allowing schools to track communication efforts.
• Contact List Management: View and edit the contact list, ensuring that all contact details are accurate and up-to-date.
• WhatsApp Integration: Send messages directly to WhatsApp contacts, providing an additional channel for reaching students and parents.
